Whew.

Okay, so this was QUITE a weekend. Between the basketball---my bracket is a MESS, as half my picked teams lost----recovering from being sick, then the baby getting sick, and then Easter, it's been a bit chaotic. By yesterday, though, things seemed to be on the upswing. My Tarheels moved onto the Sweet Sixteen, and my daughter recovered from her cold in time to tolerate being dressed up for Easter (first time in tights! and a dress!). I ate entirely too much ham and hot cross buns and was in bed by nine last night, then had dreams that I was dating Tyler Hansborough. Which pretty much sums up my weekend better than the preceding paragraph, actually.

In other news, thanks for all the nice comments about the Lock and Key video I posted in the last entry. (If you missed it, you can check it out on YouTube here.) I'm always insanely self conscious whenever I see myself on video or TV, so I've tried not to watch it too much, but I was glad that so many people noticed my shoes, because I wanted to wear them even though they were KILLING my feet by the end of the day. For those of you who asked, they are Kate Spade. And very comfortable, as long as you don't wear them running around town for four hours straight.

Meanwhile, after a beautiful spring-like weekend in which I got a pedicure AND wore flip flops, today I woke up to see...sleet. Yep. That Mother Nature, give a little, take a little. But we'll get to warm weather soon enough. In the meantime, it's back to sweaters and socks. Sigh...

have a good day, everyone!

Out of laziness I'll just link to my blog entry on how I think this video is great and really natural looking: http://minimalaerie.blogspot.com/2008/03/spring-books-1-lock-and-key-by-sarah.html I'm in Chapel Hill for the weekend and I feel you on the sleet! As I drove down from Baltimore 2 days ago I thought, Yes! North Carolina means hot weather and a jump start on spring. But I just tried going outside and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Ahhh that just totally brightened my day because I was afraid that I was really weird for having a dream about Tyler Hansborough last night! Haha he seems to grace everyone's dreams lately, huh?

It's probably twenty degrees up here in Minnesota. I'm wondering what the temperature is there? It was forty the other day and I broke out the flip-flops, tossed aside my winter jacket and rode around town with the windows down!

My dad's having the same problem with his brackets, haha. He picked Gerogetown to win yesterday, but when we watched it after Easter dinner, they lost. So, yeah.
I can't wait to read Lock and Key =)

Wow, sleet? No sighting of sleet here in Durham. But perhaps that is because I woke up rather late, and maybe the weather had warmed up a bit since the time you woke up.

Man, I think everyone's just dreaming about Tyler lately - my roommate and I constantly swap Tyler dream details. It's something about March Madness, I think.

Spring. We were having weather in the high 40s last week until Friday when we got five inches of snow. Not much of the snow has melted but we're supposed to hit the 50s by Wednesday. I do not understand this weather, man.

I finally got to watch the video (great, great, great and such a nice inside peek for readers) and my heart is now longing for Chapel Hill! I'll be there soon for a visit and I may come see you speak--hope to!

My brackets are pretty messy too but as long as Dook's out and the Heels are tearing it up, I'm SMILING!

Yeah...it snowed last night and flurried today in Kentucky...I don't understand. I determined that Mother Nature had her holidays messed up, as it definitely didn't snow here at Christmas.

I have UNC picked to win...but my brackets are ridiculous. And silly Western Kentucky is still playing...drat rival schools, lol.

I love the video-- seeing you drink a Zip soda and walk by Wes' art and Owen's radio station is very cool and very inspiring to a wannabe gonnabe writer :) And yes, the shoes are adorable! Was that close-up intentional?

I'm pretty excited about Lock and Key now, knowing where the idea came from and hearing more about the plot!

How was your Easter??? I loved those shoes!!! Lucky it's cold there!!! It's like 90 degrees here. I live in AZ so, as you may know, it's very hot here most of the time. LOL! I hope you have a great day!

Hi Sarah! Frist off, I LOVE your books. They are absolutely amazing. I haven't read them all yet, cause I've only just discovered your talented writing, but I have read Just Listen, The Truth About Forever, and That Summer. I love the character Owen the most. Secondly, my bracket is quite a mess as well. Unfortunately Duke lost (I cannot believe it) and I had them making it to the final eight. It's terrible really. Luckily however, I did pick North Carolina to win it all, so hopefully that works out (so both you and I can win:P). Good Luck with your bracket!

My bracket is majorly sad due to the fact that I had Vanderbilt going pretty far. I have no idea what I was thinking. Then there is Duke, I can't beleive they lost. Luckily UNC is still haning in there and is basically my only hope of not losing 5 dollars to a bunch of guys. Happy Spring!

I want to just tell you that I appreciate and totally enjoy the importance you put on detail. I'll be doing everyday stuff and something from your books just pops up into my head showing how our ordinary lives are so much cooler than we think. Thanks!(sorry if that didn't make sense)
