So my baby has a new habit: gasping. She just started with these really loud, shocked noises, the kind you might hear if you saw someone falling down a flight or stairs. Or, if you yourself were about to fall down a flight of stairs. I should probably be used to it by now, as she does this constantly, but I still find myself jumping, startled, every once in awhile. Never a dull moment around here, I'm telling you.

In other news, there have been a lot of questions in the comments lately about Lock and Key. When will there be a more detailed summary? Perhaps an excerpt? I promise you, it is all coming, and some of it soon. Things are getting ready to really crank up here in terms of publicity--the book actually already received two good reviews, in VOYA and The Horn Book, yay!---and I will link to any and all of it as soon as I can. It probably would be up faster, but I'm too busy trying to calm my beating heart from all the gasping. Anyway, to answer your questions, a summary is coming, there will hopefully be an online excerpt (of me reading, no less) as well as lots of other fun stuff. So stay tuned.

Baby's down for a (short) nap, so I've got to fold laundry/answer emails/drink some coffee/make the bed/plan my day. And I used to think I was actually efficient. HA!
