I know this has been covered ad nauseum in the blogosphere, but I am so, so sad about Heath Ledger. He was such a good actor---especially in Brokeback Mountain, a movie which honestly kind of haunted me. But the thing that's the most upsetting to me, especially now, is how in love he always was with his daughter and how she now has to grow up without him. In all the pictures he was always doting on her, pushing her stroller and carrying her on his shoulders. It just breaks my heart, I honestly can't even think about it.

Sigh. And only 28. Twenty-eight! It's terrible.

On a completely unrelated note (how do you even transition from that, I won't even try) my friend Erica was over the other night, and we got to talking about TV. She said she had a new show she was watching on DVD, wondered if I watched it: Friday Night Lights. EEEEK! I think I startled her with my completely over the top reaction, as I was so excited to have someone else to talk about this show with (not that you all don't count, but I mean, in person). She said she was so into it, but they were renting it disc by disc from Blockbuster, so....at which point I think I scared her AGAIN by practically exploding off the couch and running wildly to find my DVD of the entire first season. Yay! I swear, with this show, I just want to convert people. I'm like an evangelist, banging down your door with literature (or DVDs, as the case may be). Anyway, we spent most of the night discussing our shared crush on Tim Riggins. Okay, well, in my case maybe it's an obsession. We decided we are entirely too old and married to be in love with a fictional teenage character, but no matter. What's done is done.

Oops, I think the baby might be up. What happened to my two hour long morning nap? Oh, well....

have a good day, everyone!

I'm still so sad about it. BB was truly a haunting movie, wasn't it? His career was really taking off.

Sarah, you converted me to "Friday Night Lights" and I love you for it! I am completely unashamed of my Tim crush. The writing is phenomenal, how certain scenes can be so intensely bittersweet. Like this one: "Street is on a tear! 51...52!" Totally brill.

YOU KNOW TIM IS AN OLD SOUL. YOU JUST KNOW IT.

Uh, yeah, so, my livejournal posts?
Have been taken over by FNL loving.
Mostly Riggins loving. But general FNL loving.
Overall.
Anyway, I believe there is something about Tim that will not let you resist him.
Like Poison Ivy. Only instead of pheromones, it's something in the way he sweats and rarely brushes his hair and ambles around needing beer money and being the Running Back Of All Running Backs.
Also sometimes when he's wet.
You know, come to think of it, it is quite possible it IS pheromones.
This is just a theory, but I think it's pretty valid.

Sarah, just so know I am now addicted as well. I didn't buy the seasons but I'm halfway through the second online and I am in loveee with it. And Tim Riggings. I hated him but he grew on me quickly. Aside from your books, it was probably one of the best things you've given to your dutiful readers on LJ.

I am also so sad about Heath Ledger. Not as sad as I was about Mitch Hedberg or QT from 2gether, but definitely sad. Everything you said... his age, his daughter, his talent. "10 Things I Hate About You" will always be a favorite movie of mine.

My friends always do that with me. I try to keep new shows to a minimum, but my friends got us (me and hubby) into Firefly/Serenity (which doesn't count a LOT since it's not still on) and Lost so far.

Oh I remember multiple nap days. But one noonish nap is easier to plan around. Enjoy this time, it goes by WAY to fast.

I was in 7th grade when 10 Things I Hate About You came out, and Heath Ledger quickly became the first and only actor I've ever dedicated an entire bulletin board of pictures to. I'm not sure if that's why I feel so sad about it, or more because of his daughter, or more because he had so many years of impressive work ahead of him...who knows? But--while of course I know I didn't KNOW him--I definitely feel very sad whenever I see anything about it (which is pretty much anytime I sign onto the internet).

You should all read these stories about Heath- they're mostly written by totally random people who had encounters with Heath, and in every one he seems like an incredibly genuine, nice person.

It is so unfortunate that such an incredible actor and loving father had to go so soon, it makes me so sad to think.

Especially with all of this new of him being so affected by the characters he has been playing in the past few months, and that could have possibly lead to his death is so scary and sad to me.

I don't watch television so I have nothing relevant to say to this post BUT I mentioned a little bit ago that I ordered the Truth About Forever (if you even recall that comment I left) and the moment I recieved it I start reading it because I love that book so much. And I noticed there was writing on the front page so, naturally, I turned the page to see what it was and ... you signed it! It's signed to Vera With All Best! Sarah D(line). HOW COOL IS THAT. All I need now is for you to come down to LA to cross out the Vera and put my name instead! :P

*sigh* I was quite shocked when I found out about Heath :( It's sad, I tell you! The thing that bugs me the most is the fact that Mary Kate Olsen was suddenly plastered all over the news with him...I mean, so the masseuse called her? What does that really have to do with anything?

BTW: Can't WAIT for Lock and Key. Cora is such a cool name!
